Siam Shade actually has a tribute album. AND ACID BLACK CHERRY ACTUALLY PARTICIPATED and mostly by english artists too. What the. IM SO HAPPY THEY DESERVE IT! Although of course can't beat Hideki And Kazuzu's Vocals. Sounds a little awkward in english too. But this is pretty nice. Even FLOW did a cover of 1/3 Junjou na Kanjou WUH.

I used to love Seiyuus once upon a time till they were the reason I watched some animes. Like Kyou Kara Maoh. No way I would have watched that because of the plot alone. I believe I stalked Emo Cloud's Voice actor and Inoue Kazuhiko there. And then later on followed Kouki Miyata to Bleach etc etc. KKM's seiyuus are all great singers and I'm suddenly reminded of their character songs after Kamina mentioned they were his favourite character songs he ever sung~

I did watch weird animes because of seiyuus too like Nerima Daikon thanks to Morikubo Shoutarou and alot of Ueda Yuji's strange comedic ones.

So in the event of being pissed at my PC for repeating SCRATCH DISK IS FULL. OHKAY I GETTIT. There's only 30+gb of space and it is NOT enough kk. But i deleted half my ref for work and transferred all my psd work files and its still full.

Anyway so I was trying to clear space in my HD and browsed through my gazillion psd files to find out that I practically save EVERYTHING I do as PSD. Which is big. lol.

Bayonetta is just effeminate Devil May Cry but omg I really like her design! I admired the concept artist ever since I met her at comic con! I wished they had a high res version of her model though. Cos I don't know, the texturing in game isn't really fantastic and neither is their pre rendered cutscenes.

..Also Bayonetta cutscenes in game is rather..unique lol.

Back from Cali and back from Kota Kinabalu!!!! And now my vacation is over.
Time for a new chapter to start...

Looking back to my experiences in California, I think I've learned a little bit more on being positive with my work which I really really thank my supervisor for ( unfortunately he was a victim of the evil evil economic depression ).. However it helped me remove some doubts about my abilities and I am once again able to paint for pleasure YAY!

Hence I enjoyed this short break time trying to find a comfortable workspace within my home ( I get really anal about these things ). Also gonna start looking for a job, freelance and also side commissions to fulfill my future dreams and needs like possible school, extra lessons in language and leisure like scuba * cough cough * and DRIVING. Possibly...even though i have the craziest phobia on driving.

But I'm pretty sure I'm a brave soul.
I really am :D

Down in the woods

No use coaxing a non-frown out of this guy. Trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito this time round. Took a tour there and had to be up and out early~

Muir Woods, home to the sequoia ( albeit the smaller version ) It was kinda cold but bearable. Unfortunately there was TONS of people. I think it would only get worst on later tours. But the weather was pretty. Just that people stare at me when i try to take my own picture or a picture of Daikon-sama =|

But dark woods always amaze me still. As if I have not painted enough trees already. Apparently there's a story from the ancient past that said that the woods were home to feral little beings and the native tribes were too afraid to venture there. Painting ideas anyone? XD;

If I had more time it would have been a lovely hike but for some reason i think Yosemite was more magical. Probably because of the cliffs and halfdome and such. Just magic T^T.

Anyway after that we headed to Sausalito, a little town across the bay where there is a nice view of alcatraz and baybridge. The weather was sunny and nice by now. It was a really nice weather to walk. After that we headed across the GG bridge and I went off to shop =| back at downtown. Was suppose to meet Nossie but he had a family emergency.

High Tea Kimbap

Spicy tuna kimbap on top of Twin Peaks, San Francisco.
I missed the trip up here last time due to lack of time so I decided to find my way here after going to the bank in the morning. Nossie told me it was gonna be cold this week. Actually from the way I saw people dressed i thought it was really cold. But it was bearable. I wasn't even shivering like last time. Maybe cos I was wearing double layered pants o_o; I only brought my icecream hoodie too. Weather was pretty yesterday so it was a beautiful view from Twins Peak. Despite the howling ( I'M GONNA BLOW YOU OFF THE HILL ) winds, there was not much people up there so it was nice and quiet almost to the point where I wanted to take a nap up there lol. Because the only way to get up there is by driving or hiking, I had to do the latter. Thank goodness the bus does the job halfway for me. Seeing a public bus maneuver through steep crooked narrow residential streets is really something.

Afterwards I went to find the GamaGo shop to get Jinah's stuff but I got lost. Well technically I lost the shop but not my bearings. I can't remember what street the shop was. When i later checked google map apparently I missed the shop by a block =_=. and then i wondered off to 5 streets away before walking all the way back to downtown. At least I've explored SoMA and Mission now lol.

=( I forgot to bring elizabeth home for this trip so Daikon-sama had to accompany me this time round. He didn't even enjoy the free wifi on Virgin America. Being able to use the internet on laptop as per normal on the plane is reaaaaaaaally something. If only the flight was longer than 20 mins that is lol.

He doesn't look too happy with heights either.

Preparing to find job again~ I want to find a job that allows me to learn something new and not just ..draw. I don't mind doing flash animation ( ....except for the fact that I'm a TERRIBLE animator ) or doing compositing or texturing or anything really. Currently looking through flash tutorials to learn how to draw in it~ So hard =(. So many things to do. I'm starting to dread everything.

But fear not. For I've found my magic elixir :D.
I found this while browsing H-mart for my regular barley tea.

NUHHH I have so many half works everywhere stuff that i just sketch and leave and have plans for..TONS AND TONS..and Boss newspec's work and comicworks and WorkWork.
It's kinda cool though cos I'm in the midst of a cooldown with people here so being swamped with work and ideas just keeps my mind off useless things and rage. Well. A little.

I swear my thoughts are like ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM like bullet trains ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. So many thinking. Find work. Plan travel. Plan packing for home. Plan plan plan plan plan. I can't neglect on planning though cos I'm way too cautious and paranoid lol.

I wish i planned more on my works though cos seriously the ideas can go from left to right while Im painting it and that just makes it take up loads more time.

So Jinar and me were going through old stuff. And i came across my first cg with a tablet or rather my first attempt at semi realism! and that was back in 2006 when Dezhang lend me his tablet! I have to thank him so much lol. I think i borrowed for like 3 months before i bought mine during attachment with attachment pay!

So i never finished it~ But it inspired me to repaint it! I did a pretty fast repaint with the colour scheme i tried out in one of my daily environments. I NEED TO DO MORE OF THOSE ITS JUST BRILLIANT LOL. I can easily use the colours that ive learned to use during painting those dailies! I really really should do more of those

As you know I've moved ( YAY INTERNET ) from Santa Ana to Irvine.
Avalon Apartments across Diamond Jamboree where H-Mart is and an area filled with Asian. This is the view out of my apartment. I'll only be staying here for 2 1/2 months till i leave of course =). The complex is relatively new and was meant for sale not rent but due to economic downturn they decided to lease instead. It's about 45 mins slow walk to work. I might try for exercise sake lol.

Yay the pool is not 2 strokes width. Can't make use of it yet. But ill make sure to make full use once fasting month is over 8D

This will be their final look i guess :P. The rest are all in some degree of halfdoneness. I'm not very productive this week. Was a little sick from seattle trip. BUT ITS NOT SWINE FLU GAIS!!. ( Aka my colleagues threatened to throw us into a fire after reading that there were confirmed cases at PAX ) Rain and the cold and running around was just not a good mix. PAX is an awesome place for a trip with your friends. Just lounging around checking new games and playing games =P. Too bad none of you were with me =(.

So now im healthy enough to not be considered a liability I'm at work painting again. I have no net at home but there is net at the new apartment..but now I'll have to speed up and move. TBH I wasn't that much of a hurry to move into a living room and lose my door but now i realize that you can simply kill me by breaking my router, so I'm gonna have to make an effort to haul my crap over ASAP. So I'll be talking to you mom as soon as im moved in =). And btw I realized I told you to text me Jinar but my room doesn't get T-mobile reception. And now you know why I hate it here sometimes >=|.

This was one cake that we wanted to try. My housemates bought it from me from their frequent trips to the new apartment. Japanese Green Tea and pumpkin cake. Well to be really honest. I didn't like it. The slice of key lime pie i got from the supermarket was far nicer =P Maybe i just don't like pumpkin. I don't hate it either.

Elsevilla's Digiacoustic artbook! I've admired this dood for so long im so glad to get my hands on a copy of his stuff too! Not exactly the best printed artbook out there but the personalization he did on it and pretty much just because it is Elsevilla's, it is full of win =P

He even included a simple 5 mins sketch haha~! Isn't he just adorable XD

On the other hand that's my packed ps3 behind there ready to be moved to the new apartment =( he looks so sad and lonely in the box. i need my fat princess fix lol. Or Bayonetta. NAO.

I did like 25 character designs for Boss ( Newspecies ). Lemme introduce Newspecies to you. He was the leader of my guild Evangelion when i was playing Ragnarok obsessively after secondary school ( That game i was playing even when there's guests and in the middle of the night for like 6 years i believe ). There are quite a number of people I still keep in contact. One of them is Newspecies! He is an aspiring game programmer! and he requested my help for his project. I was a terrible partner but i managed to crank it out.

For my portfolio....uh..accompanyment? Enhancement? or something. I decided that i will CG as many of the 25 character designs to put inside. They probably won't be as detailed. Probably one team a week. ( I'm gonna turn foodiegals into complete picture series asap cos i lack pieces with bgs. But i have some bgs i did for work which i will have to complete just to include in my portfolio! and i still like my Troll and Armor bgs i did with Yinghol ).

A sneak peak to Sketchwars. Newspecies project. He has so much faith in me D: I better repay what its worth!

I understand. I was once the whiner too =) But lemme spread some encouragement that i have gained! Stop your whining and make an effort! Everyone can do it! Like Bobbie Chiu says. DGAF if you have to eat PB and Jam sandwhiches to make it! It all pays off in the end. You achieve your dream. WITH HONEST EFFORT. What more can you ask for in life? Except for a million dollars and a mansion overlooking the beach?. That might be yours. I just want to be able to achieve my dreams one by one, be able to take care of my family, and make people happy =).

You might be wondering why I'm ranting. Everyone has been so negative and depressed lately. I'm just trying to cheer myself on. . Since i have no one that does it for me. Except for my boss <3 Boss you're like the best ever. I wish you could have gone to PAX so i could give you one big hug! You're like my cheerleader! and Jina too...in her own unique way =P! And seriously people. IDGAF.

Meet Eli 2! He's my work cushion to prevent my back from aching. I found him at Anime Expo in LA. And that's my work station with my name up there! And my Big Show dvd box diorama ( aka the present i gave myself that will make aishah really jealous ). And my Eco Strawberry bag akihime gave me for my birthday :D all the way from singapore!
