anyway DISNEYRAAAAAAAND POST!!!!!!~! Where dreams come true =D
So we finally decided to visit this park for Karen's birthday ( even) though its this sunday not last XD; but we had a vacation on tuesday ( veteran's day ) so we thought Sunday was the best~ Also Nina's persuasion ( I bet she's a disney's spokesperson in disguise ) kicked it off really~ So ON! to the Land of Dreams!
Disneyland's ex parking lot now hosts California Adventure Park which caters more to the less child(ish) bunch of customers with more " kids unfriendly " rides aka your typical rollercoasters and other bunch of phobia and nausea inducing rides. They're still pretty mild to me..nothing really fear inducing ( compared to the one I saw at knottsberry ) so i can safely say both disneyland parks are very Harkem friendly! ( pirate ships DO NOT COUNT )
anyway snapshot of birthday girl and unknown individual who accidentally crashed into the picture ( seriously ) =P Did ya know the birthday badge earns you 6 extra tortillas from the tortilla factory ( usually only get 1 piece free ) :D we declared everyday our birthday from then on! but we need that badge first lol. Btw that particular day, it was FREEZING. the day before it was in the higher 80f ( evidently thanks to the broken AC in munhow's car ) but sunday...it was COLD. probably in the higher 60s. Thin jacket is not good enough lol. Especially if you get wet.
First ride we took. Toy story Mania. This ride is full of WIN. One of my top favourites. Never took anything remotely akin to this before. NEVER. Its like being spinned with an arcade machine XD. What is unknown individual doing in the picture again TSK. ( above 2 pics taken by lawrence )
..actually i don't even remember the sequence of rides anymore but i believe we went on this ride next. This one wins best experience even though it was so simple thanks to Karen. You cannot cannot imagine..how loud someone can scream before a 2 feet drop. Yes. 2 FEET. She gets another achievement for this :D!
I dun remember the sequence of rides nemore but i remember taking my first full loop rollercoaster ( looping around mickey's head ) ..woah... it wasn't too bad but i can't imagine a seriously HUGE loop though XD;
lunch! clam chowder in bread bowls. I like disney's food cos the food doesn't look like its controlled by fast food chains ( I'm on a strike against fast food ). But the clam chowder in Boston is by far better ^O^;;
Finally onwards to the ride i wanted to take so much!! I read up about it ( after someone died riding it for 13 times..due to heart failure....=( )..but yeah i still wanted to ride on it cos it looks cool. I sorta know what to expect from the ride so as to minimize the shock that might lead to undesirable consequences ( choyyy ) so turns out the ride was quite enjoyable :D. I dunno why i laugh so hard throughout. I think thats how i will be if i ever got high. I will laugh really hard =D

actually funnily we didn't meet much disney characters around. I think we saw cruella de ville at the entrance in the morning and mickey with the marching band. Then we saw Minnie in some hidden corner and lastly the incredibles~....wait i dun remember if we saw donald..baahh
We only left adventure park for the actual disneyland when the sun started setting around 5 where we conquered the more popular rides like pirates of the carribean..haunted mansion and a couple more before watching the parade of dreams (...they have seriously fancy floats ) and then wondering about more before the fireworks~ ( camera is terrible at night so i dun really have good pics here )
:D but i have a pic of da PIMP ( kok heng ) and the 7 bucks turkey leg!..which looks seriously scary when you're half vegetarian.
Fireworks is like a must for disney attendees where we crowd around the town circle just past main street and huddle together to watch. To be honest i think the commentary was way more fascinating than the fireworks itself. The fireworks is like the icing on the cake. I was reminded about disney. About the joy of storytelling =) Jina was awesome enough to pass me the audio recording ( it doesn't sound quite similar but just as awesome ) Whenever when you wish upon a star was played i felt like tearing up T^T because yeess!! dreams come true when you believe!! even though mine is usually in the form of daydreams BUT YEAH BELIEVE YO!! YES WE CAN!!! =X
I think im seriously lucky~ I felt like a 12 year old when i entered this park! It reeks of nostalgia and reminds me of happy times! ( especially in the small arena where they played disney's past animations on huge screens around the room ( where the drawing classes are held ) Aladdin! Lady and tramp! Cinderella! ( i still remember wondering why her hair was done up so...uglyish and her dress was boring LOL ) hercules!! XD my fav the emperor's new groove! Also im reminded of the old disney storybooks i had as a child. The art is the same as ever. Long loved yet not forgotten designs~ Thank you disney imagineers~ I wanted to be one after watching a documentary on it when i was younger. But im so glad i did not cos you guys are just way better~!!! Thank you!

I can go there as many times as i want for a whole year ^O^ infact we're going there again later after knottsberry ( for company anniversary ) WOOOOOOT!!! THEMEPARKS ON WORKDAYS IS WIN!!!!
